All-Out 8-Week Mass Attack. No Holds Barred.
Day # 36 of 56 - 02-22-02
I decided to lay off on my arm and shoulder work this Saturday; I just felt worn down and needed a rest. I am back to my 5 on 2 off split. So today was calves, chest and triceps. This weekend really hit the spot as far as resting went. I didn't leave the house much as was able to sleep in to around 8:00 am each day, which is about 3 ½ more hours of sleep a day from my normal.
I blasted my calves first thing today, just doing my normal routine but went heavier than normal.
Bench press - 2x6 - 135lbs, 1x6 - 225lbs, 1x5 - 295lbs, drop set - 5 reps - 275lbs, 5x reps - 225lbs
Incline press - 1x6 - 225lbs, drop set - 5 reps - 245lbs, 5 reps - 225lbs
Decline press - 2x10 - 225lbs
Incline flies - 1x10 - 60lbs, 1x10 - 70lbs
Cable crossovers - 1x10 - 100lbs, 1x 8 - 110lbs, 1x8 - 80lbs
Cable pushdowns - 1x12 - 110lbs, 1x12 - 120lbs
Nose breakers - 2x12 - 70lbs
Overhead cable pushdowns w/rope - 2x12 - 110lbs
Weighted dips - 2x20 - 45lb plate added
All in all I felt much stronger than normal. That was the first time I had gone over 275lbs on bench press with out a spot, felt good. I check my stats this weekend and nothing seemed to change, but I changed my diet a little last week omitting some carbs so I am sure that's the problem.
Although I didn't see a change on the tape I continue to get more muscular looking each week. My muscles are much fuller and harder each week as well as my strength gains are better each week. Usually with a cycle of phs in the past I have always hit a plateau in the strength end but not with this stack.
